• Vocational Training Programmes :


     

    Vocational Training is truly the need of the hour. And especially in country like India where major percentage of our education system is based on the conventional studies and due to poverty a large section of the population are unable to send their children to school or continue support till the completion of their education, hence most of them drop out of their school and take up odd jobs without any skill or training.
    Vocational Education is the skill based training provided to students through variuos courses to enhance their skill ability and also to find a lucrative job in the competitive job market.

    Skill Training Programme:


     

    Integrated Project for Development of People (IPDP) is successfully executing skill development program since 2014. We did a humble beginning and now collaborated with Smile Foundation; we are successfully running the skill development program. We are providing free training and placement to the underprivileged youths in nearby Kengeri region. Interested and underprivileged youth in the age group of 18-25 are provided with free computer basics, English, personality and retail management training courses to help them find a good job. Career counseling and exposure visit sessions are done on time to enhance the working capability in the job market. We are soon in the process to tie with other big entities in order to take skill development initiatives to the next level.

    Tailoring Programme (Job oriented course) :


     

    Integrated Project for Development of People (IPDP) is successfully executing skill development program since 2006.
    We did a humble beginning with Rotary Club support and now collaborated with Weir Mineral India Pvt Ltd.
    we are successfully running the skill tailoring programme. We are providing free training and placement to the underprivileged women in the nearby Garments. The age group for Tailoring is from 18 to 40 years, from 2006 to 2019 we have completed 12 batches and trained 480 women and placed them to various Garments and some of them are doing their own self stitching at home.
    A few women entreprenuers listed below.

    1. Jyothi is doing tailoring at home and running business of stitching blouses and chudidar.
    2. Rukmini is doing tailoring at home and running business of stitching blouses and chudidar.
    3. Kavitha is working in a Garment and earning Rs.10000/-.
    4. Vani is working in a Garment and earning Rs.10000/-.
    5. Reshma is doing tailoring at home and running business of stitching blouses and chudidar.
    6. Padmavathi is doing tailoring at home and running business of stitching blouses and chudidar.
    7. Radhamma is doing tailoring at home and running business of stitching blouses and chudidar.
    8. Anu is doing tailoring at home and running business of stitching blouses and chudidar.
    9. Renuka is working in a Garment and earning Rs.10000/-.
    10. Sujatha is working in a Garment and earning Rs.10000/-.

    Computer Literacy, Spoken English, Personality Development and Basic & Retail Program:


     

    Integrated Project for Development of People (IPDP) is providing vocational training corses in computer basics, Spoken English, Personality Development and Retail Management training courses to enhance the skill and help them find a good job. Also Career counseling and exposure visit sessions are held on time to enhance the working capability in the job market.     7. Shobha is Working at Eureka Group in Marketing / Sales.
    8. Omkar is Working at SBI as accountant.
    9. Lalitha is Working at Orion Mall in sales Unit.
    10. Mamatha Working at Orion Mall in sales Unit.

    Livelihood program and promotion of Enterprises in SHGs of marginalized women:


     

    A PROJECT SUPPORTED BY HCL FOUNDATION:

    The project is directed towards sustainability through empowerment of self help groups. The SHG leaders will be well equipped in managing SHG functions, All SHG Group members will be empowered with knowledge and skills in business Management. Initial capital fund, thrift savings amount will be utilized for income generating activities profitably. They will also be linked with the microcredit support and marketing channel by IPDP. So the sustainability of the project is ensured.
    It is a project for women that will be started and continue to be a savings and thrift program to help the women financially for to promote self Employment and develop their small enterprises and to repay their higher interest loans.
    We found that most of the slum dwellers do not have a steady income and to maintain their homes and families they borrow from local financiers at daily interest rates and mortgage their articles and home appliances. They sometimes end up paying their entire income to the financiers and are subject to their harassment. We found there is a need to educate and help the community especially the woman.
    Improve socio-economic status of women from urban slum communities in Bangalore. The main aim of the project is to generate a source of income for women in a background where they are treated differently and can supplement the family income by supporting 300 women for the livelihood activities by promoting to establish a entrepreneurship to lead life and encourage the women in the society to support for the their empowerment.

    Key objectives:

    1. To alleviate poverty, create employment and income generating opportunity through micro enterprises and livelihood development.
    2. To develop capacity and skills of the target groups on micro enterprise development management as well as Self Help Groups management.
    3. To provide initial capital fund for undertaking income generating activities and inculcating self confidence on running of small business management profitably.
    4. To promote 300 women entrepreneurs from the slum community and support them for the livelihood activities to improve their family situations.

    BANKING FINANCIAL SERVICE INSURANCE (BFSI) SKILL TRAINING PROGRAM:


     

    Since 2016 Smile foundation is supporting IPDP to uplift the youth development and their sustainable growth. Smile Foundation's Goal is to empower underprivileged youth and their families and community with Soft skills computer education , spoken English , Healthcare trainings & BFSI training. So far through IPDP above 1856 students were enrolled and about 1456 youths are placed and continuing their job and are financially Independent.
    The training programs for women in BFSI could cover various aspects, including banking operations, financial analysis, risk management, insurance products, sales and marketing, compliance, and customer relationship management. Additionally, courses that focus on digital finance and emerging technologies in the BFSI sector may also be valuable, given the rapid digital transformation happening in the industry.
    It's essential to work closely with local organizations, financial institutions, and governmental bodies to tailor training programs to the specific needs of the target beneficiaries and align them with the ever-changing demands of the BFSI sector in Bangalore.
    This course benefits the women’s to lead sustainable growth for their livelihood and enhance their skills in the field of banking sector.

By obtaining recognized certifications, candidates can demonstrate their proficiency in specific areas of BFSI and increase their chances of securing employment.
